On Mediaite today: sounds like Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad could use a trip to Jon Stewart’s “Restoring Sanity” rally. The president addressed the U.N. General Assembly today, and at one point in his remarks, he suggested that 9/11 might have been an inside job. The U.S. delegation, along with the representatives from many other countries, handled the situation by walking out during Ahmadinejad’s speech. Drama! It’s like the U.N. Assembly got relocated to the Jersey Shore! Get the full post here.

Geekosystem has the best thing to come out of Alaska since Lisa Murkowski’s bitter write-in campaign — a video clip in which boiling water is thrown into -45 degree air, creating a cloud of instant frost. Apparently, someone got tired of the fast pace of life in AK and decided to take the time to stage and then film this experiment. The International Arctic Research Center has a long, scientific explanation for the results, but I prefer a simpler interpretation: MAGIC! To see the clip, click here.

Styleite asks the eternal question: “Why does Taylor Momsen look so mad?” Full disclosure: I stole this joke from an episode of “Gossip Girl,” in which Jenny Humphrey’s brother mocks her love of dark eye makeup, saying she “looks like one of the Incredibles,” but seriously. Look at the picture. She looks like she’s going to fly a plane to Syndrome’s private island to save her family as soon as she’s done scowling her way down the red carpet. To read some of Styleite’s theories about her sour face, click here.

On Sportsgrid today: lest you think that an interview about steroid abuse would just be a straightforward cautionary tale, Paul Solotaroff would like you to know that there was an upside. Heavy steroid use and a single-minded devotion to cultivating his musculature resulted in a very particular brand of female attention. Among other things, Solotaroff remembers very forward young ladies saying things to him like “Come home and hammer me.” Like a 1980s fairytale, ladies and gentlemen. To see the interview (part 4 of the “Steroids Workout” series), click here.

As much as we’d like to believe it, it just isn’t true: Gossip Cop reports that Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy are not reconciling. The couple ended their years-long relationship not long ago, but it looks like Perez Hilton’s claim that things are on the mend is simply not true. A mutual friend of Gossip Cop and Carrey dismissed the rumor out of hand. Perhaps one day true love will prevail, but it’s definitely not today! Read the full post here.
