Dan on Utah Custody Case

Dan appeared on Good Morning America today to discuss the case of a Utah family fighting a custody battle, in which a man is seeking custody of a daughter he never knew was given up for adoption.  Dan says, “This is a pretty clear legal case… this is a married father. If this were an unmarried father, this might be a tougher case – questions of abandonment and involvement, etc. – this is a married father. And in the state of Utah, I think that the family is going to have a tough time arguing that they ought to get the child back.” Dan continues on what transpired:  “The question is why did the adoption agency do what it did, didn’t do what it did — the judge seemed very irritated at the fact that as soon as the father reached out to the adoption agency, the adoption agency’s position was ‘I’m sorry, we can’t give you any information’; how is that possible?” For more, watch the segment here.
