07 Nov Dan on Maryann Castorena – Murder Plan or Movie Plot?

Dan appeared on Good Morning America, Wednesday, November 4th to discuss the trial of Maryann Castorena, a woman accused of killing her ex-boyfriend for his life insurance policy. Police found a letter she allegedly wrote detailing exactly how the murder would happen,  and Castorena is claiming that it was the outline of a movie script. Prosecutors are alleging it is a letter that Castorena wrote to Anthony DeLaGarza, the man she solicited to murder her ex-boyfriend. Castorena insisted DeLaGarza acted on his own and the letter was based on an overheard conversation not actual plans. Says Dan, “This is a big problem for her. This was a note that was found at the home where she was staying, allegedly laying out the entirety of how the murder is going to take place. That’s an incredibly powerful piece of evidence.”  Watch the full clip here.
