On Mediaite: Betty White turned 90 yesterday, which is a huge enough milestone that the President of the United States took the time to gently poke fun at her in a video message. President Obama read a letter he was writing to the “Golden Girls” star, in which he wished her a happy birthday but also requested to see a copy of her long-form birth certificate, as she is suspiciously spry. Geekosystem, like many of us, is wondering why this winter doesn’t seem all that cold (especially in the East, where we were bombarded by snow for most of the season. As it turns out there is an unusual jet stream across the United States, one that is bringing warm air from the Southwest east rather than blowing cold air from the Arctic.
